Types of Master Classes Offered
General Chamber Music Master Classes cover all periods of chamber music and all genres, from solo works to sonatas and larger ensembles.
Historical Performance Master Classes offer an opportunity to explore performance practices of the Baroque and Classical Eras.
Baroque and Beyond Master Classes cover all periods from Baroque to Contemporary with emphasis on how 18th century techniques evolved throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
Nona Pyron gives periodic Master Classes in the Santa Barbara and Pasadena/Los Angeles areas. These are usually scheduled on Saturday or Sunday afternoon and run from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Both individual performers and ensembles are invited. Participant fee is $55 per performer.
In addition, she offers three and four day Retreats – usually in Santa Barbara – when musicians can come together for a few days of intensive music making and discussion. The cost is variable, depending on length and location.
